State Treasurer Clint Zweifel announces $113,500 in low-interest loans in Sullivan and Marion Counties
MILAN, Mo. – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced today he has awarded low-interest Missouri Linked Deposit Program loans to Justin Brinkley, a Sullivan County farmer from Milan, and Brownell Woodworking in Maywood, which specializes in cabinets and specialty woodworking projects.

JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri farmers who are just starting out have a new tool thanks to an agreement between State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) and the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency. Beginning immediately, first time Missouri farmers qualifying for a low-interest Missouri Linked Deposit Program loan could also receive a 95 percent loan guarantee and a waiver of the 1.5 percent origination fee from the FSA subject to its criteria and availability of funds.
State Treasurer Clint Zweifel awards record $410 million in loans to small businesses and farms in 2011
JEFFERSON CITY – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) awarded a record $410 million in low-interest loans to 1,400 small businesses and farmers in 2011 through the Missouri Linked Deposit Program, a 40 percent increase over 2010. These loans impacted more than 7,600 jobs and farmers. The previous record was with $356 million in loans in 1992.
State Treasurer Clint Zweifel says Unclaimed Property returns up 31 percent through first 6 months of fiscal year
JEFFERSON CITY – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced today $23.5 million in Unclaimed Property has already been returned in the first six months of fiscal year 2012. The amount is a 31 percent increase over the same record setting period the previous year. Contributing to the pace is what is thought to be the largest single Unclaimed Property return in the country's history - $6.1 million to a Kansas City area woman in December.
Lee’s Summit-based Liquid Soap Products receives $428,000 low-interest loan from State Treasurer Clint Zweifel
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) has awarded Liquid Soap Products, in Lee’s Summit, Mo., a $428,000 low-interest Missouri Linked Deposit Program loan. The business is using the loan to purchase new manufacturing equipment that allows them to efficiently produce environmentally friendly soap products. It has 22 full-time employees.
