Weekly Rates for Missouri Financial Institution

The rate of interest payable by all banking institutions on state moneys is determined by the preceding week's average yield of U.S. treasury securities for a comparable maturity. Rates are available on Monday of each week.

Time Deposits

The STO will place time deposits with approved Missouri financial institutions for maturities not to exceed one year. A financial institution will be eligible to receive total deposits in an amount not to exceed their equity capital.

Terms

Time deposits must be collateralized at 100% (principal plus interest to maturity) and held by an acceptable third-party custodial bank.  For a list of securities that are acceptable collateral, please click on the link below.
