Treasurer’s Task Force On Education Funding To Conduct Meeting
On Proposed Improvements For Criminal Forfeiture Disbursement System

 

            JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Treasurer Sarah Steelman’s Task Force On Education Funding will conduct a meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 in the Treasurer’s Office, Room 229, in the Capitol. The purpose of the meeting to allow the members of the task force to discuss a measure for the upcoming session to improve the system of distributing between schools and law enforcement the assets forfeited in criminal cases.

Members of the organizations serving on the task force expected to attend the meeting include:

                                 Gary Sharp, president, Missouri Association of School Administrators;
                                 Bruce Renner, president, Missouri School Board Association;
                                 Chip Robertson, attorney and former Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice;
                                 Mike Wood, Missouri State Teacher’s Association;
                                 Sharon Rees, vice-president, Missouri School Board Association;
                                 Peter Herschend, vice-president, State Board of Education;
                                 Mick Covington, executive director, Missouri Sheriff’s Association;
                                 Maj. Mike Keathley, Missouri State Highway Patrol;
                                 Darrell Moore, Green County Prosecuting Attorney
