The State Treasurer is responsible for the safe and prudent investment of state monies. The investment staff trades in government and agency securities on a national level, using more than 25 brokers, dealers and banks. The investment division continually monitors the national economic and political conditions to ensure safe and prudent investment management. This monitoring is done through live screens from Bloomberg as well as daily contacts and information received through the mail.
