William Edmond Robinson

William Edmond RobinsonWilliam E. Robinson (Democrat), a life-long resident of the state, was born in St. Francois County, Missouri on June 1, 1920.  He attended the Boone Terre public schools and Central Methodist College, in Fayette.  Before his election as state treasurer he was president and member of the board of directors of Frontier-Tower Life Insurance Company in Jefferson City.  He was secretary-treasurer and managing officer of the Bonne Terre Savings and Loan Association and served as chairman of the board of the Missouri Savings and Loan League.  His salary as state treasurer was $20,000 per year.  In 1942, he married Janet Naomi Parham, also of St. Louis.  Mr. Robinson died on October 16, 1992.
