Invest in Missouri Unanimously Passed By HouseLegislation to reinvest $1 billion in Missouri moves to the Senate JEFFERSON CITY - INVEST IN MISSOURI passed the Missouri House of Representatives unanimously today 150-0. The passage of the bill, HB 883, puts State Treasurer Clint Zweifel's plan to create and retain jobs and reinvest $1 billion in Missouri communities one step closer to law. Similar legislation, SB 542, has already passed the Senate unanimously, and is expected to be heard by the full House next week. "Rebuilding our economy and putting Missourians back to work are my priorities. This legislation does that by expanding the Missouri Linked Deposit Program and reinvesting in our community banks," Treasurer Zweifel said. "INVEST IN MISSOURI is finding great bipartisan support, and I thank Rep. Tim Flook for his sponsorship." The Missouri Bankers' Association and Missouri Independent Bankers' Association are also supporters of the legislation. |
