Labor Day Statement from Treasurer Clint Zweifel

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) released the following statement today regarding the Labor Day holiday.

Labor Day has long held a special place in my family as a day to recognize and celebrate hardworking families in this country. As the son and grandson of union carpenters, I know how much the labor movement has impacted my life. Today I would like to thank the men and women that continue to build, harvest, transport and care for each of us every day. They have built stronger communities throughout Missouri by creating an infrastructure and opportunities for future generations. Today we each take a moment to think of the sacrifices and investments hardworking family and friends have made in us, our state and our country.
